After months of searching, we found a sumptuous Vera Wang creation in the Gateshead – and promptly brought it back to us at Express stitch to weave our magical bespoke fitting solution to the gown to make it perfect for a romantic mountaintop wedding.

The challenge was a tough one – to attempt to modify some of these dresses can result in the style, fit and movement being lost – particularly in a dress that cost many thousands of pounds. Our task was to take this beautiful gown and to make it a glove fit for our slender, size eight bride.

After several (fraught) fitting and resizing sessions, the bridal gown was finished perfectly to the client’s requirements – here are some of the ‘in progress’ shots – and we have since heard that the wedding was as romantic as planned. As soon as we are given some of the pictures from the day, we will be putting them on here – so call back often to see if they have been published.
